As of Sunday night, M&T said goodbye to their cribs and hello to big boy beds! See below for some pics and details.
We went in to check on them before we went to sleep and found them sleeping head to head. Looks like I may get another chance to compile some snoogle pics like when they shared a crib..... :) But at around 3am again that night, Max rolled all the way to Tyler's side (by the window) and fell off the mattress. I put him back on the mattress (Tyler didn't even wake up) and he went right back to sleep. Bonus: they both slept til 8am!
From night 3 on, they've slept through the night and have continued to sleep until 7:30 or 8am (no complaints from this non-morning person!). Nap times have been good too, although they usually talk and play for about 15-20 minutes until I come in and bribe/threaten them about our afternoon activities (Such as, "Remember how we're meeting Big Jim at the park later? You have to go to sleep to get lots of energy so you can play at the park. So no more talking or we can't go to the park.") Shockingly, it always works.
We are far from having their big boy room completed, and eventually we'll get them new sheets and comforters and bed frames and paint their walls something other than grey. But for now we've made the biggest step and said farewell to the cribs... just in time for their sister to steal one ;)

I am laughing about Max rolling all the way across his bed, across Tyler's bed, and falling off on the opposite side. What is he dreaming about? Hilarious. And so adorable that they're head-to-head again. :) Love it!
Those guys are too much! How fun to go back and watch your posting of "End of an Era" when the got their own cribs. The photos and Randy Newman singing You've Got a Friend in Me is classic!!
How much fun it must be to be a twin!!
Thanks, Bridge. Keep 'em coming!
Love,
Dad/Big Jim
Awww. I've got warm fuzzies. So sweet. I also would like a nap, too. :)
Love it! So excited you will be able to get more snoogle pics! Still can't believe they are old enough to sleep in big boy beds!!
They look sooo tiny in the twin bed.
I'm glad it didn't take to long to sleep thru the nite. I'm sure they love sleeping in big boy beds on the floor:) Here is a glimpse into the future. When Ryan hit MALE HORMONE age, I took everything out of his room but the mattress, which was on the floor :):)
Luv u
Aunt Flash & Preston
Ahhh! They're growing up too quickly! Can you just freeze time for a bit until we can get up there? I miss those sweet boys. (And you too, of course.) Can't wait to see all of you in a few weeks. Love you!

Eeek! Such adorable little dumplings! Reading your post, I got that silly old western song... Rollin, Rollin, Rollin... in my head. :)
