Erin Go Bragh!

Ever since last St. Patrick's Day, when the boys were 6 weeks old and still in the NICU, I have been looking forward to March 17th, 2009. Last year my dad was in town visiting and brought two tiny hats for the boys that said "I'm A Wee Bit Irish." The hats were designed to be worn by adults as a joke, but they ended up fitting the boys perfectly. That day I remember thinking that I couldn't wait to see how much bigger Tyler and Max would be one year later. Well here it is -- and the change is as cool as I imagined!

Max - 6 weeks old in 2008

Max - 13 months old in 2009

Tyler - 6 weeks old in 2008

Tyler - 13 months old in 2009 (You will notice that Tyler is crying in all of the pictures with the hat. Apparently there was something about the hats that he did not like!)

Daddy and his boys last year. When this picture was taken, Max weighed 2 lbs 10 oz and Tyler weighed 2 lbs 13 oz.

Max (left) and Tyler (right) in 2009 weighing around 19 lbs!

Here are some more pictures from tour photo shoot today:

Like I said, Tyler did not like his hat!

Max said "Fine. If you don't like it..."

"I'll just eat it."

Much happier. Tyler on left, Max on right - trying to come out on the porch

And a few more pictures from St. Patrick's Day 2008:

Close-up of Max. Notice how half of his body fits in my hand.

All of the previous pictures were from our celebration the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day with Big Jim, but this picture was taken on the actual holiday. If you remember, this was the day we got to see both of the boys laying together for the first time.

We hope everyone had a great St. Paddy's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to the Jones' family! WOW! What a huge difference one year makes. Maybe Tyler wanted his tweed hat on instead of that party hat. Does this mean that Tyler will be the writer/poet and Max will be the party guy/joke-teller? I can't wait to celebrate with them, and their fun parents too. We did have a few pints yesterday toasting the boys.
Great photos, Bridge!
Love,
Dad/Big Jim

Oh...my...goodness. It may not surprise you that I DIED laughing looking at the pictures of Tyler crying with the hat on. Why is that so funny? The progression of the pictures is hilarious and I saw fram a couple! :) Ok back to look at the photos one (or two) more times...
