Less Than A Month...

... until Tyler and Max turn ONE!! I really cannot believe our 2 lb and 1 lb 13 oz preemies are almost 1 year old. It really is unbelievable. The boys are feeling much better and are (seemingly overnight) into ev-er-y-thing!! I have to keep a constant eye on them but they are having so much fun. Several times a day they will just start laughing at each other. It is the cutest thing in the world! They are both babbling like crazy too. Tyler says a lot of the "da da da" sound and Max likes to say "bla bla bla."

See the pictures below for more new developments. Oh, and we finally got a real video camera, thanks to Andy's parents and siblings!! I have tons of great clips but am still trying to figure out how to edit and upload them. Hopefully I'll get some posted later this week!

We are starting to test the waters with sippy cups and we've gotten a few sips here or there! Here's Max trying it out.

They crawl and climb on anything and everything in sight

And now they are pushing themselves up on their legs too! They are pretty wobbly so they topple over pretty often. That's Max "standing" in this picture.

And finally, we have oh-so-sadly been putting the boys in separate cribs :(:(:(. They have always been good at putting themselves to sleep and not bothering each other, even when one falls asleep immediately and the other fusses for a bit. But now that they are crawling and climbing on top of each other, they use their new skills in their crib too. In other words, if one or both of them is fussy and doesn't fall right to sleep, they climb on top of each other and never go to sleep. I was really sad the first night we separated them, but I realized the next day that they are still best buds and it won't change their bond. I guess I'll just have to hope that they reunite as snuggle buddies one day when they are out of their cribs :)

Right now we are using a pack 'n play until we get a second crib. Even though they are separated, they still talk to and laugh at each other! They both crawl to the edge of the cribs so they can see each other. Once we get the other crib, we'll put them right next to each other so they'll be even closer.
