Today was a big day -- Max and Tyler had their first day of "school"! They are going to a Mother's Day Out program, so not quite Preschool yet, but they still get to bring a backpack and a sack lunch and of course we call it school. They are in the "2's class" with other kids their age and their class is pretty small, which I think will be great for the initial transition into school. We first visited the school, which is about 3 minutes away from our house, at the beginning of the summer. We drive by all the time and every single time we do, one or both of the boys says, "Look Mama, it's Max and Tyler's school!" Needless to say they were excited and ready for their first day.
We had a welcome meeting last week so they got to meet their teacher (Miss Cindy) and see their classroom. When we dropped them off this morning, they started playing right away and barely flinched when we left. When I came to pick them up, Miss Cindy said they were great and ate all of their lunch and played really well. I'm sure it goes without saying but I really enjoyed my free time as well ;) They will go to school every Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
To make things even better, their cousins Nick and Caitlin go to the same school! They are all in different classes, but Caitlin's class played outside with Max and Tyler's class today so that's fun.
So here's to a new chapter and yet another step away from babyhood and on toward big boyhood!
I couldn't get them to smile at home (or look at the camera), but here's a pic before we left. They really wanted to wear their Thomas boots (that they found at the bottom of a basket yesterday), but we compromised by letting them take their boots in the car but wear their tennis shoes. Tyler in blue, Max in grey.

Just wonderful Bridge. Curious minds, personalties plus, winning smiles...and with their cousins to boot. Max & Tyler are a long way from Nashville and the NICU!

I couldn't stop gasping and laughing while reading this one. Probably the cutest picture in life is the one of them on the steps and the one with Andy. Also love that Caitlin was digging in her "purse" -- so adorable!
What big boys you have, Bridge and Andy. Next will be prom! :)
So cute! So happy to hear they did well on their first day of school! :)
Now that really makes me feel old....my grandsons are going to school!! Love the picture of DaDa walking them up the steps & the backpacks. They look ready to learn!

your twinkies continue to be one of the cutest kiddos ever! just love their little faces! good luck with school- i'm trying to take them to the daycare at our gym so that i could workout but it's just not happening- for some reason, we are going through severe separation anxiety. hoping that it will go away by next fall when it is time for school for us, too!
hope you are feeling well with little bambina! congrats on making it to 33 weeks already! esther
