A Bit of Culture

The boys have gotten quite a dose of culture lately (and more traveling!) as they've visited the Indianapolis Zoo, Hinkle Fieldhouse at Butler University, the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, the South Bend Zoo, and a puppet show at the Frist Center in Nashville. We've been delaying our inevitable "house arrest" for RSV/flu season, but seeing as me and the boys are all under the weather today, I think it's time to crack down. Oh well, spring will be here before we know it. (Right???)

Here are some pictures of their adventures!

Checking out the sharks at the Indianapolis Zoo with cousins Nick and Braeden

Max

I think this was a sea lion but I can't remember.

Max on the court at Hinkle Fieldhouse, thanks to Uncle Coach Micah. Go Bulldogs!

Tyler

"Bee-baa-baas" galore!

Aunt Katie and I took them to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and let's just say it was an adventure... A cold, rainy Friday made it overwhelmingly crowded and M&T wanted nothing to do with sitting in their strollers. Although two wandering toddlers amidst a huge crowd is never a recipe for success, we still had fun!

Watching the really cool sea dragons

The video below is the epitome of our day. They were interested in something for approximately 20 seconds and then wanted to "Get Down!" Max's calm demeanor in this video gives the impression that he was a perfect angel, but he definitely threw a raging tantrum about 15 minutes later. Like I said, it was an adventure!

Admiring the alligator at the South Bend Zoo

They loved the fountain and ducks.

Our awesome friends Melissa and Colleen took the boys to a puppet show on Sunday and snapped a few photos during the day. Here are the boys playing outside the Country Music Hall of Fame in downtown Nashville.

Tyler -- cool pic, huh?

Those pictures are just terrific. I love the ones outdoors. Max & Tyler look like little studs!! The girls better watch out!
They obviously take after Grandpa Sam (and their Dad of course)!
Love,
Dad/Big Jim

Gran-Pa Sam doesn't necessarily agree with Big Jim. I was a studious nurd and I thinkk Jim was a man about campus at Purdue. Oh well, a little bit of both will round out M/T just great !! We love our grandsons Very much.
