18 (and a half) Months Old!

Well here we are with two 1 1/2 year olds! I'm pretty sure Tyler and Max have changed more in the past month than ever, and man is it fun to watch! I don't have their weight and height stats yet because their pediatrician had to reschedule, but here are a few of their latest tricks:

- They are walking like it's no big deal at all! They still crawl every once in a while but are definitely walking more than crawling.
- They are "talking" up a storm too and repeating everything we say (including a bad word -- oops, better watch that). I use the term talking a bit loosely because they don't have the best pronunciation yet, but we can definitely decipher what they are trying to say. For example, a few of their favorite phrases include: "Bah Tie" = bath time; "Chee-yo" = Cheerios; "Hee-yo" = hello (which they say every time they see a cell phone); "Peeeees" = Please. They also say "Uh-oh" all the time, especially when they "accidentally" throw their food on the floor.
- They say lots of animal sounds like cow, dog, owl, sheep and monkey
-They love to dance and do so by swinging their whole body from side-to-side
- Max has recently started to ask "ME???" in the cutest high-pitch voice when he sees something he wants
- They are still sharing one crib!!

Ours days are definitely non-stop and we have our share of hair-pulling moments, but it is so fun to watch these two grow and interact with each other and with us. I once asked my sister (with three kids) what's been her favorite stage of her kids' lives so far. She said she remembers thinking that every new stage was the best stage yet -- and I completely agree. Each stage gets a little easier and a little harder at the same time, but every new stage is the best one yet. Let's see if we're still saying this when we have teenagers though!

Tyler (left) and Max (right) are 18 months old! See previous monthly chair pics here.

Tyler dunno

Being goofy

Sharing a ride-on bike at Grandpa Sam and Nana's house

Playing with their cell phones (our old, deactivated ones that they loooove)

Max tickling (or attacking?) Tyler

They started fighting us when we put them in their high chairs so we moved their chairs to the table and gave them plates. Guess they really are big boys!

Bridge:
What a fun posting. You definitely made my day and brought a huge smile to my face. The boys look so good, and so big all of a sudden.
You summed up the wonderful joy of parenthood and of watching your children grow. You will be happy to know that the joy and wonder of it all never stops, even when your children have children. In fact, now that I think of it, watching your grandchildren is like watching your own children---without worrying about spoiling them.
Thank you, and keep up the great work, in raising Max & Tyler and in keeping us so much in their lives through Double Vision.
Love,
Dad/Big Jim

Bridge & Andy,
Through my years of parenthood,18 months was always a highlight. The toddler begins to understand and respond, but not quite in the "no" stage yet. With M&T it is double the fun and so awesome to experiene their interactions.
I totally agree with Big Jim that another enjoyment of being a grandparent is watching your children parent. You two have made us very proud and we appreciate so much the beautiful updates!
Love to All,
Nana
