The last part of our vacation to Texas included a special treat for me and Andy -- a trip sans Max and Tyler to South Padre Island. It was only a 45 minute drive from Brownsville, so we took the grandparents up on their offer to watch the boys for the night and got the heck outta dodge. We had a little trouble finding a hotel room because we unknowingly stumbled into South Padre during "Bike Fest" (aka thousands of motorcyclists), but we stayed on the bay and went out for dinner and drinks. Then the whole gang headed to Corpus Christi for the last 3 days of the trip and relaxed at the huge pool and beach.
We had an amazing first family vacation and can't thank the grandparents enough for everything. It will certainly be a trip to remember!! Click here to see all of the gazillion pics from the trip.
