2008: What a Year

There are so many words I can think of to describe this past year, but none of them come close to truly illustrating all that we've experienced. 2008 was the most challenging, stressful and scary year of our lives. Yet, at the same time, it was the most rewarding, heart-warming and amazing year. I didn't know it was possible to simultaneously feel so many different emotions: scared, hopeful, disappointed, angry, blessed, anxious, sad, jealous, confused, grateful, amazed, proud, happy, excited, exhausted... to name just a few. As hard as we have tried to capture the wonderment of this journey through pictures, videos, and words, we know there are parts of it that can only be understood by Andy and me. This year has taught us so much about ourselves and what life is really all about. We've learned that it is possible to make it through life's toughest obstacles -- with a little (or a lot of) help from God, faith, love and endless support from everyone around us.

Knowing that these pictures only illustrate a tiny portion of this year's events, we hope you enjoy a look back at 2008!

WOW....what a big year. It's truly amazing to look at the progression. I already forgot how teeny weeny they were, even when they came home!

Great year-end review Joneses! I think the September sunglasses shot could be my favorite.

Bridget!
What a wonderful recap.I'm sure you and Andy experienced every emotion under the son, but you weathered the storm admirably. It is a joy for us to watch the twins and cousins grow into such loving kids. Thank you for all of the pics and info on the progress of the miracle boys. Prayers were surely answered.

It was quite a year Bridge and Andy. Thanks for giving us such a ride of emotions and letting us share with you along the way. I went back over each month just looking at everyone's hands. Some very beautiful and moving photos are in there capturing many of the feelings that you expressed so very well. I saw strength, concern, tenderness, warmth, support, longing, security, playfulness, and lots of love.
I must say hands down it was a very good year!
Love,
Dad/Big Jim
