3 Months Old!

Max and Tyler turned 3 months old on Sunday. Time is a funny thing because in some ways it seems like they were born much longer than 3 months ago, but in other ways we can't believe it's already been so long. Both boys are doing great and seem bigger every day. We are officially sick of sleeping on the couch every night and being confined to the living room, so hopefully they will start weaning off their oxygen after their doctor's appointment next week. (Sleep deprivation is also kicking in big time...) We did give the stroller another try on Sunday and actually walked for about 25 minutes, so that is progress! Our neighborhood doesn't have much traffic so as long as we avoid the sidewalks (and the bumps) we can still take walks. I even took them on a walk all by myself today, which is a big deal since I have to carry two carseats, two oxygen tanks, and two monitors from the main floor down to the garage (obviously not at the same time!) Max and Tyler did great and I loved getting out of the house.

We had a great time with Aunt Katie (Andy's sister) last weekend and, once again, loved the help. She and I had a photo shoot with the boys on Friday - with no oxygen or monitors - and got some great shots. I think we must have taken about 75 pictures, but I will only include a handful in this post. Feel free to click the links on the right to see more pictures of the boys each month.

Big Jim (my dad) is coming to visit on Thursday for the weekend and we can't wait! Being away from family is definitely hard right now, but all of the visitors have helped tremendously. We have also been receiving dinner about 3 times a week from Andy's wonderful co-workers. My co-workers lined up dinners for us while the boys were in the hospital, so we have been truly blessed to work with such great people. We can't tell you how nice it is not to have to think about food too! One thing we will always remember when we look back on this experience is the incredible outpouring of support we have received from day one. We are humbled and forever grateful.

Here are some pictures of our big boys and Aunt Katie:

Photographer Katie matching perfectly with the photo shoot layout

One of our favorite pics. Max on the left, Tyler on the right

These boys make some funny faces!

Max got hungry halfway through and literally started sucking on Tyler's elbow

And then his fingers...
With their pacifiers

And Tyler is down for the count

Of course the obligatory shot holding both boys. We miss you, Aunt Katie!

Believe it or not....it really doesn't get much easier as they get older to go out for a nice walk. But you will get to replace the O2 and monitors weight with 2 big growing boys, cups, snacks, extra toys...and then trying to keep a hat on both .... Then look out before you know it they will be walking! I know your looking forward to every milestone with great excitement ...we all are!!

Max and Tyler are growing, you and Andy are doing a great job!

Looking forward to the next update!

How cute!! In this photo, Max looks a little bigger than Tyler!
I love Tyler's thumb in Max's mouth!! "Max, suck on my thumb instead of my elbow and maybe you'll settle down so we can get this photo shoot over with"!!
Have a great Mothers Day with Dad!
Love you all.

Bridge & Andy:
Cannot believe the boys are three months old already.
Aunt Katie is very photogenic.
Looking forward to seeing Max & Tyler. I packed my alarm clock so you two can get some quality snoozing for a couple of days anyway.
Celebrating your very first Mother's day will be special.
Can't wait to be with you.
Love,
Dad/Big Jim

Hey Big Jim,
Don't worry about the alarm clock. Your grandsons will keep track of feeding time for you.
Have a great time...I'm so glad that you will be spending Bridget's first Mother's Day with her. Give everyone a kiss for us.(A hug for Andy will suffice).
