Here we are in the one-month countdown until our micro preemies turn 2 years old! The holidays, of course, made this a busy month, but we also moved into our new house on New Year's Eve! Getting settled is taking a bit longer than anticipated thanks to a fun case of the stomach flu for everyone, but we love our new home. After several months of craziness and traveling a ton, the boys seem to love being back into a routine (as are we!)
The past two years have definitely been a roller coaster of ups and downs, but I was just telling Andy yesterday that I am really enjoying spending every day with M&T. They are such smart, funny, and loving boys and we are having so much fun playing and reading and learning new things. They still drive me nuts with their whining, and some days I realize I just can't win; but overall they are really good boys. For instance, about an hour ago I saw Tyler rubbing his eyes so I asked them both, "Are you ready for a nap?" They said "yah" and just started walking to their bedroom. All I had to do was give them their "bing bings" (aka: their little blue blankets that they always sleep with), put them in their crib (yes, they are still sharing one crib), turn on the ocean sounds, and close the door. Sure makes it hard to complain when they make so many things awfully easy!
There were a few "firsts" this month, which you'll see below. Happy 2010 to all!
First "real" haircuts! Nana and Aunt Katie have given them trims in the past, but we finally took them to Andy's mom's salon for a real big boy cut. As you can see, Tyler was not excited at all.
Max, on the other hand, didn't mind one bit (thanks in part to the distraction of my cell phone).
We skipped the gown for Max since Tyler hated his, but Max saw it at the end and wanted to wear one!

Cute pics. Love the one with the rice. That last pic of Max is so sweet. Good luck getting settled in the new house - can't wait to see it in a few weeks!
forgot to sign, kelly :)
Love the snow pics! Hope it warms up here so they can go out again!
Bridge - Are they both lefties?! In the picture of them watching TV and drinking sippy cups, they are bth using their left hands.
Lynn - they have both shown signs of being lefties since they were babies, but sometimes we're still not sure! They both always suck their left thumb and Max swings his golf club like a lefty, but they often draw and eat with their right hands. So who knows! If we had to predict, I think we'd guess they'll both be lefties (like their dad!). Guess we'll find out sooner or later!
Look at those handsome boys with their fancy new haircuts!
And I love the nap story. What good boys! I can't wait to play with them soon.
P.S. Jasper is loving those pjs that the boys are wearing in the Nashville snow picture :) That tells you what a chunk he is!
