Thankful

Although our list of reasons to be thankful is extra long this year (with two little guys at the top of the list), I want to give a special shout-out to our parents. Andy and I have been blessed with loving, supportive, intelligent, encouraging, and FUN grandparents --- and now Max and Tyler get to experience it too. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and we are so lucky to have Big Jim, Grandpa Sam, and Nana on our side. We've basically been nomads since around July, and our parents have welcomed us with open arms every time we come in town to "visit" (or move in for a while...). They've given us date nights, and little breaks, and endless help with the boys. And although we really really appreciate all the help, it is even more rewarding for us to see how much M&T completely adore their grandparents. They've all bonded with the boys in their own special way, and we are so happy to be back in town to watch their relationships continue to grow.

Even though we are adults with our own children, I don't think you ever stop needing your parents. So thank you, Dad, Sam and Linda, -- for helping and supporting us so much. And for being the best grandparents I could have ever imagined for our kids. We love you!!

Thank you for those kind and thoughtful words of praise, but the pleasure is all mine. I love having you and Andy back in town and Max and Tyler are a total A-Plus experience. They are a hoot whether it is swinging the golf club, playing b-ba ball, riding their scooter, watching Pat-Pat-Pat (Little Einstein), or reading a book. They are especially fun the first thing in the morning, with their big grins, and right before they go to bed, with their thumbs in the mouth clinging to their bing-bings. I feel blessed to have such terrific grandsons!
Love,
Dad/Big Jim

Can I add an extra thanks to this?
Thank you Big Jim, Sam and Linda for raising such caring, thoughtful and wonderful kids of your own. Bridget and Andy are not just amazing parents themselves, but also great friends. I know the Sarnacke family life would not be the same without them in it.

Bridget you should write greeting cards. And you're right...no matter how old we get, we always need our parents. It was so nice to read that, and hear all about the relationships Max and T have with their grandparents. SO glad you are back home again in Indiana! :)

Gosh--didn't know we deserved a BLOG rap !!--there are many "routine" things that we do (Jim said some) like bath time, play table, Jump and Jive CD (the boys like to dance to that)bikes and bonk that we do over and over and not get tired of it. As they grow older I'm sure new things will surface-bike rides to the park-Blackthorn to hit golf balls, ND football games (they are already tailgate savvy)-can't wait !! G-Pa Sam
