Busy Bees

M&T are keeping us busy and seem to learn something new every day. Here are some new developments from the past week or so:

~ Max took 3 steps on his own on Saturday! He walked from the couch over to where I was kneeling on the ground. Tyler routinely lets go of whatever he's holding onto and stands unassisted.

~ Tyler has learned to climb onto the couch by himself -- which means it's only a matter of time before he dives head-first from the couch to the floor too

~ Max is getting his fifth tooth -- the one next to his top left tooth. Apparently he is making good use of his new tooth because he eats anything and everything he finds on the floor... including dog food at my friend Colleen's house! Luckily I caught him before he swallowed it though.

~ The boys attended the City of Hope Celebrity Softball game last Wednesday night and got to see Carrie Underwood, Montgomery Gentry, Josh Turner and several other stars. And they made it way past their bedtime (usually 7pm) and were happy guys until the game ended at 9pm! Here is Tyler (in orange) and Max (in white) with our friends Colleen and Melissa.

~ M&T now dance when they hear music (I'll try and get it on video sometime). Tyler bounces up and down and Max sways his arms from side to side and bobs his head.

~ They make barking sounds when they see a dog or whenever we say the word dog.

~ Although Max is the biggest culprit, they have both started throwing food on the floor. Most of the time it means they are done eating, but yesterday Max was doing it just to spite us. He knows he's not supposed to, yet he would look us in the eye, smile, and then throw food on the floor. And this was at the very beginning of lunch so he definitely wasn't done eating. Like I said... trouble!

~ They rode in shopping carts for the first time! This probably seems like no big deal, but it was a big step for our micro preemies (and us!). Besides the fact that one shopping cart + two babies doesn't work so well anyway, we have always been encouraged by the doctors to minimize risk of germ exposure. Now that RSV season is over (until October), we can live on the edge and do things in public like normal people :) Max is in blue, Tyler in yellow.

~ Tyler has also learned how to climb into the shopping cart

Have a great day!

Bridge, Cute as usual! When I first got Preston I had to push the stroller and pull the shopping cart, not fun (not to mention RUDE shoppers that didn't help or get out of the way) Then he sat in the cart with pillow on one side and my huge purse on the other. Now he sits without anything but the belt:) They now have DOUBLE seat carts in some stores. They are exploring and learning, so get ready for bruises - it's that time:) :) Keep up the great job.
Luv u
Sara and Preston
