Memorial Day Weekend

It was a whirlwind of a weekend in Indianapolis for Memorial Day and we had such a great time! My sister Molly posted a recap with lots of pictures on her blog, so check it out. Andy's parents also came in town and kept the boys overnight on Friday so we could go out with some friends and then enjoy our Saturday morning. Andy got to golf with both of our dads and my grandpa while I had breakfast with some girl friends. I can't tell you how nice it was to have so many helping hands and get a break! We were spoiled on Sunday too because my dad and Molly watched the boys all day so Andy and I could go to the Indy 500 race. The whole weekend was a blast and we can't thank everyone enough for all your help with Max and Tyler. It was much appreciated!

Here are a few pictures!

Max and cousin Nick playing at Molly's house. Nick is only 7 months older than the boys so all three of them will be in the same class growing up!

Big Jim and Andy trying to get these boys to walk!

Big Jim and Tyler

Nana and sleepy Tyler. The only time M&T suck their thumbs is when they are holding their blue blankies -- but as soon as they pick up the blankie, their thumbs instantly go in their mouths.

Eating outside at Molly's house

M&T were watching Nick, Braeden and Big Jim playing basketball outside and Nick came over to the window to chat. Too cute!

Molly, Caitlin, Big Jim and the boys coming home from the park when we got back from the race

And of course they snuggled in one Pack 'N Play all weekend

As always, that wasd a wonderful weekend for us. When I was growing up, I spent many overnights at my Grandmother Jones's. She only lived 4 blocks from us abd she lived alone. I could tell when I arrived, she was happy. She smiled alot, we played games, watched movies, we watched Pres Kennedy get elected and I enjoyed our time together. So our time with our grandchilren is welcome and enjoyable. Love NANA AND GRAN-PA SAM.

My name is Amanda. I am Katie Winstead's sister and found your blog thru hers. I just wanted you to know that your blog is especially encouraging to read...even just the day to day things, because I prayed for these boys when they were in the hospital! Our Lainey was born 3 days after your twins, so it was especially near to my heart that ya'll were still at the hospital and we were home...God answers our prayers and I am so thankful to see they are perfectly healthy and beautiful boys. LOVE this picture of them sleeping all over each other. Priceless.
Fondly,
Amanda Brown
