Max and Tyler had a great first visit to Andy's hometown of South Bend. Our trip was filled with tons of visitors, great food and drinks, perfect weather, a million pictures, and our friend's Andrew and Alicia's gorgeous wedding. It was wonderful to see so many people who have been thinking about and praying for our family since January, and we were glad to be able to thank them in person for all of their support. Granpa Sam and Nana Linda went above and beyond and spoiled all four of us - Max and Tyler with tons of attention and Andy and I with food and babysitters! We had a great trip and hope to make it back before too long! The only downside was the looooong car ride. We were able to break up the trip on the way there and stop for the night in Indy, but 1o hours straight on Sunday was enough to make all of us cry (we told Max and Tyler that we would be screaming right along with them if only it was socially acceptable...)
There are too many details from the week that I know I will forget, so I'll let the pictures do the talking. I'll add an album on the right side of the blog with all of the pictures from our trip soon too. Thanks for a great visit!

First Visit to South Bend
Max and Tyler must like it in the Bend
Our visit was filled with tons of visitors, starting with a few of Sam and Linda's friends
They finally got to meet their friend Jack who had the exact same due date as the boys (May 11th). I don't think any of them know quite what's going on!
We decided bald Max needed a new 'do

these are great - thanks for sharing!! I LOVE the pic of M&T in their hats - that's a framer. Too cute! We are counting down the days until we can see you all next weekend! Love you, Kelly & Adam
Great photos. Well the boys sure will know they are loved in South Bend! But finding love will not be a problem for them for the rest of their lives. The hats were very charming but also liked seeing them with hair. Nice touch.
Sam and Linda really do roll out the red carpet. Max and Tyler better get used to that.
Love,
Dad/Big Jim
The inspiration behind the sign over the garage door:
Linda and I spent Father's Day in Indianapolis this year at Big Jim's house. This was the boys first trip to Indy. Jim invited us to a gathering on his patio that included great grandparents, great aunts abd uncles, aunts and uncles, cousins & friends. We enjoyed it so, we wanted to do it in South Bend. Thanks for the idea Jim (Go Irish !!)G-pa Sam
