They May Look Alike...

... but they sure have unique personalities! Tyler and Max have been home over a week and we love getting to know them a little better each day. Funny enough, the boys are holding true to their personality traits that we noticed way back when they were only a few weeks old. Tyler never fails to tell us exactly what he wants - especially when he's hungry. They both grunt a lot when they're hungry or tired, but Tyler has a high pitched scream that lets us know when he's really annoyed. He'll let out one loud scream and that's it. Kind of like he wants us to know he's mad, but isn't going to make a huge fuss about it. Pretty funny. Max is still more laid back and rarely cries or screams. If you think about it, it's really amazing that their personalities were starting to develop at less than 28 weeks gestation (and maybe earlier - who knows!)

My sisters are coming in town for the weekend and we are really looking forward to their visit. This will be the first time for Courtney to meet Max and Tyler, and Molly hasn't seen them since they were 3 days old. The March for Babies walk in Nashville is on Sunday afternoon and we have a group walking for Team Max and Tyler. The boys will not be participating but I'm sure they will be there in spirit! Thanks to the amazing support and donations from so many people, Team Max and Tyler has raised over $3400 in support of March of Dimes. Wow!! Not only do your donations mean the world to our family, but they will also give other premature babies a chance to survive and thrive just like Max and Tyler. Thank you again and again.

In completely unrelated news, the 5.2 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Southern Illinois this morning was felt all the way in Nashville, TN! I was awake after an early morning feeding and felt the ground vibrating. I had no clue what was going on and the thought of an earthquake never even crossed my mind. Only when I turned on the Today Show did I realize I had felt the earthquake. Completely amazing since we are hundreds of miles away!

We hope everyone has a great weekend! As usual, here are a few pictures:

A perfect example of Tyler telling us how he feels. Apparently he wasn't comfortable in his normal position up by Max because we walked over to find him completely at the bottom of the Pack N Play. He had wiggled all the way down, which is extra impressive since he was swaddled up. We got a big laugh out of this one!

Much better.

Still can't quite get over the reality that you have identical twin boys! But boy do they look alike. It appears that their personalities will give them away. Great photos!
Let me be the first (or one of the first) to wish you a Happy Birthday, Bridget. That Easter Sunday, April 19, when you were born doesn't seem that long ago! And now here you are a Mom!!!
Love you,
Dad
